Adam holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA, MS, and PhD, and has completed executive education programs at institutions like Harvard, MIT, and Yale.
“We were looking for something that would allow us to invest in our community while building a future for our family,” said Adam. “Huntington offered a perfect blend of purpose and opportunity.”
Supporting Students and Strengthening the Community
Located at 2652 Del Mar Heights Road, the Huntington Learning Center in Del Mar is now under the leadership of the Selhorsts. Their short-term goals include streamlining operations and improving efficiency. In the long term, they plan to expand the center’s reach, aiming to serve more students, foster stronger relationships with local schools, and create high-quality job opportunities in the community.
“Huntington isn’t just about academics, it’s about helping students build confidence, find structure, and get excited about learning again,” said Krista. “That’s the kind of transformation we want to be a part of.”
In addition to providing tutoring in reading, writing, math, science, and SAT/ACT prep, the Del Mar center will actively participate in community events, support local schools, and offer students and families the resources they need to thrive.
