After years of managing complex logistics operations, Chaim Lebowits found his next mission much closer to home: helping students in his own community thrive academically.
As the new owner of Huntington Learning Center in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Chaim is bringing a personal and purpose-driven approach to education. A father of two daughters, ages 7 and 11, he was first drawn to Huntington not as a business owner but as a parent seeking academic support for his children.
From FedEx to the Frontlines of Education
Before taking over the Bay Ridge center on July 31, 2025, Chaim spent years operating last-mile delivery routes as an independent contractor for FedEx Ground. His role demanded precision, customer service, and operational efficiency, all of which he now brings to the day-to-day leadership of the center.
But what truly motivated his transition to education was witnessing firsthand the difference that tutoring made in his daughters’ lives. “It started with our family,” he explained. “We saw the impact. And we realized so many other families in our neighborhood could benefit from this kind of support, too.”
Continuing a Legacy of Support in Bay Ridge
Located at 514 86th Street, the Bay Ridge center has been serving the community for over 10 years. Previously operated as a corporate location, it is now locally owned and operated, allowing Chaim to tailor services and outreach specifically to the needs of families in the area.
In the short term, Chaim’s goals are focused on growing enrollment, increasing awareness, and making sure every student who needs help knows where to turn. Long-term, his vision is simple yet powerful: to serve as many students as possible and make a lasting difference in their lives.

A Community-Driven Approach
Chaim is also prioritizing relationships with nearby schools to ensure the center is aligned with local educational goals and accessible to students who need it most. “This center isn’t just about academics, it’s about creating a support system,” he said. “We want to be a trusted partner to parents, teachers, and the entire community.”
Whether your child is struggling in math, preparing for the SAT, or just needs a confidence boost, Huntington Bay Ridge is here to help with personalized programs, proven results, and a leader who understands the value of education from both sides.
