Eileen co-founded Huntington Learning Center in 1977 alongside her husband, Dr. Raymond Huntington, after recognizing the need for personalized supplemental education to support students. What started as a single tutoring center has since grown into a nationally recognized brand with close to 300 locations across 41 states—helping over a million students achieve academic success.
Her dedication to innovation, accessibility, and student achievement continues to push Huntington Learning Center forward. In the past year alone, Huntington expanded its Public-Private Partnerships to 23 states, increasing access to quality education for underserved communities, including immigrant students and children in foster and juvenile justice care. Additionally, Eileen has been instrumental in all aspects of the business, including the launch of AI-powered adaptive curricula and virtual classroom tools, ensuring every student receives personalized instruction tailored to their needs.
Championing Women in Leadership
Eileen’s influence extends far beyond education. As a female entrepreneur and leader, she is a guiding force creating opportunities for women in business. Today, 68% of Huntington Learning Centers are led by women, a testament to her commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs and professionals. She also works alongside her daughter, Anne Huntington Sharma, to foster a new generation of female leaders and changemakers.
